    Do salvage yards generally have parts for older vehicles? We have a really old mini van and I think the transmission is going out on it. The car is too old to order parts for, but I don't want to give it up just yet. If there is a chance I could find the part in a salvage yard I will definitely take it!

    What exactly does a salvaged title on a car mean? I know you shouldn't ever buy one because you don't know where the parts came from. There are a few other names like branded and such that I assume are the same thing.

    My cousin has been trying to find a quality auto wrecking company that he can go talk to about finding some parts for his truck. He asked me to help him out, but I don't know what to look for. This helped a ton though, and I feel confident that we will find one soon.

    I generally repair my own car, I have never liked taking it in to a shop. I get all of my new parts from an old auto wrecker. The parts are cheap and I am willing to put in the labor.

    My husband and I are trying to get our truck registered this month but the blinker switch has failed and my blinkers don't work. The blinker switch usually costs around $160 but I don't have that money right now. I am hoping to find a switch that I can use for my '98 Toyota Tacoma at an auto salvage place for cheaper.

    Wheels are one of my favorite items to get from auto wreckers. Some parts, like brake pads, are best bought new. I buy everything else from the scrapyard. It is much easier on my wallet and the environment.

    A couple of days ago I wrecked my car and had to watch it get taken away to the auto salvage yard. I had been driving it for over 10 years, so it was time for me to get a new one anyways.
